Happy Sweet 16, Frammers!

We don't know about you but we sure have a cake hangover from our Sweet 16 party last week at Fram!

If you couldn't make it, or were cake-drunk, here is a recap of what happened!

We had a dance contest! Here are our winners:

Frim Framiversary 2017 - Finals Spotlight - Andy and Elena (3rd Place)

Frim Framiversary 2017 - Finals Spotlight -Akemi and Andy (2nd Place)

Frim Framiversary 2017 - Finals Spotlight - Jeff and Mimi (1st Place)

3rd Place: Elena Valencia and Andy Lee won CDs graciously donated by local bandleaders George Gee and Glenn Crytzer!

2nd Place: Akemi Kinukawa and Andy Yong Weng Zhin won season passes to Midsummer Night Swing. Thanks our friends at Lincoln Center for supporting Frim Fram!

1st Place: Mimi Liu-Leyco and Jeff Liu-Leyco won free admission to Frim Fram for a year, but also bragging rights for days and the hearts and souls of the entire NYC Swing Dance Community.

Congratulations to everyone who entered and thanks to our judges: last year's winners Shawn Hershey and Yurina Shin, Laura Jeffers and Noëlle Gray. The prelim round has never been so evenly matched. Decisions were hard but only because you were all so great. If you competed, thank you!  You can see all of our finalists and the finals all-skate here.  Thanks for capturing the video, Will!

You also helped us raise lots of cash dollars to donate to the Frankie Manning Foundation! We raised $602 in cash! If you couldn't make it last night but still want to donate, please go their Support page and mention Frim Fram Jam in your notes to the foundation.

Lastly, we could not do what we do without our friends at You Should Be Dancing...! Dance Center, Tammy Halaburda and Charles Hamowy, nor without Will Luong for doing way more than take your money at the door, Kephram for the best closer a dance could ever ask for, Neal Blangiardo for being the cake man and all around man about town, Merika Jones and Andre Jackson who are always there with a helping hand, and our inimitable bartender Sevans Martínez.  And of course, none of this is possible without all of YOU.  Thanks Frammers!
