Our Annual(ish) Fram DJ Survey Returns!

Hey Frammers - we want to know what you think about Frim Fram! We've been trying real hard since we last asked, but it turns out we're still not mind-readers. So we've brought back the annual Fram DJ survey to get your direct feedback on the DJs and the overall experience you've had at Frim Fram!

Please take this survey and let us know your favorite (or not-so-favorite) DJs from the past year, and any other local DJs you'd love to hear at Fram but haven't.

We've also got a few questions that will help us improve your overall Fram experience, shape how we get the word out about Frim Fram, and guide us as we plan special events in the future.

All submissions will remain confidential so please be as honest as possible.  If you want/need a handy link to share with your friends, you can just point them to bit.ly/FramSurvey

We will also try to have printed versions of this survey at Fram! Thanks in advance for your honest feedback, and remember that you can reach out to us anytime via email: frimframnyc@gmail.com

Happy 15 years to us!

What an amazing night!

What an amazing night! Happy 15 years to us!

Thanks to Paul Cosentino and The Boilermaker Jazz Band for killing it all night long, DJ Ryan Mascaro for playing some great music between the sets and DJing our dance contest, to the 17 crazy couples who danced it out in our contest, to cake, and to community!

We'd also be remiss not to note the tireless weekly work of Will Luong, Sevans Martinez, and Kephram, in addition to the many many of you who come every week and make this such a terrific place to dance it out. We're really grateful to be able to foster so many new dancers and DJs and are looking forward to more in the year ahead. Sweet sixteen!

The dance contest winners were:

  • 1st Place and winners of free admission to Fram for one year: Yurina Shin and Shawn Hershey!
  • 2nd Place and winners of Midsummer Night Swing passes: Akemi Kinukawa and Lewi Gilamichael!
  • 3rd Place and winners of Free Admission to Fram for a month and gift cards from You Should Be Dancing: Lily Wen and Voon Chew!

Check out some photos from the party, taken by the wonderful Eileen O'Donnell!

Hope to see you next week when Heather Flock and Tomo Tanaka will be playing all of The Unforgettable Dawn Hampton's favorite tunes at the Dawn Hampton Tribute Night!
