Hey NYC Swing Dancers, DJs and aspiring DJs - you asked for it, so we're doing it! And now, since we're all remote these days, you don't need to be in the Frim Fram metropolitan area to attend!
Fram co-organizer and veteran DJ Ryan Swift will host an open forum via Zoom for swing DJs and aspiring DJs to pick his brain and hear from fellow DJs about music, tips & tricks, software, hardware, events, etc. Consider this #VirtualFrimFram "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About DJing* (*But Were Afraid to Ask)!"
Some topics Ryan will be happy to discuss include what he looks for as DJ coordinator for a local dance vs what he expects in his role as Head DJ for large international events (it's different!), how he sets up his laptop, where/how to find music, DJing for competitions, and/or some favorite requests/complaints over the last 20 years in the booth. Feel free to RSVP and comment in the Facebook Event if you have any questions or topics in mind!
